Buffalo Growing began as a task force established by the Buffalo City Council in 2008 to initiate a community gardening dialog, and to study and recommend a future course of action for community gardens and urban agriculture within the city of Buffalo. The report link below was developed by a team of students from the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Buffalo and serves as guideline for action towards a comprehensive, community-based approach to supporting community gardening and urban agriculture in Buffalo:
